The quality of the pencil sharpener, especially the blade, is crucial for optimal sharpening of wooden pencils. Thanks to their sturdy, hard leads, the pencils can be sharpened to a particularly fine point. Coloured pencils are shorter and more coarsely sharpened due to their softer lead. To ensure optimal sharpening, we recommend replacing the sharpener from time to time, as the blade of the sharpener becomes blunt over time. This then leads to increased tip breakage.
